These weavings formed part of a series of works completed in the 1990's that were explorations of images sourced from the news media which were depicting any number of wars being carried out over time.
While we become very familiar through the visual nature of the media and can recognise instantly in which part of the world they are being carried out, at the same time we are responding from a safe distance - our involvement is one of a casual observer rather than as a participant.
